 BCCHS Class of 1957 - 45th Reunion
Friday, July 26 & Saturday, July 27, 2002

What a wonderful weekend it was!  164 classmates turned out for the Friday night mixer at the Heritage Dome Center.  We had a bit of a problem with the microphone, but what a beautiful place it is!  And, what a great bunch of people we had in the Class of '57!

There were 184 classmates & guests at the Saturday night dinner at BCCC. We thoroughly enjoyed the Four Lads' hour-long floor show, then (after a 20-min or so break during a tornado warning when they had everyone go to the inside hallway and/or basement - away from the glass windows) another hour of music for dancing.  Quite a few left after the 'all clear' to see how things were at home, etc., but most stayed to the end and had a great time!

The food was superb!  The lines at the hors d'oeurvres/salads station, the meats station (wonderful beef tenderloin and freshly-cooked sliced turkey) and the desserts station all moved fairly quickly  -  the pasta station lines were slower moving, so a lot of people just skipped that one and re-visited the hors d'oeurvres/salads station (swedish meatballs, a crabmeat/rice dish, fresh fruits, breads and various types of salads).  The desserts were excellent - sinfully rich and creamy with lots of chocolate, nuts, etc.  No question, everyone agreed - the food was 100% perfect!

Those who took part in the tour of the high school on Sat. afternoon were very impressed with the changes/improvements - they report it is hard to recognize our old high school at all.

All of the many comments re the reunion itself, the reunion booklet and the website are very much appreciated (as were the flowers!).  Personally, I cannot say enough about Bill Myers and Roberta Hill Gray from the class of '55 who have been such a big help in building our class website and Kim Thompson, production designer for Palmer Envelope, who helped assemble the booklet.  There are really a lot of nice people out there!

On behalf of the reunion committee, we're so glad you enjoyed the weekend, as did we - it was great seeing you all again!  More details to follow after Class Treasurer, Joe Stone, recovers from his double knee replacement surgery on August 22.
